Chatham Memorial Day Weekend Events
Chatham Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 25th Ceremony begins at 10:00 AM at the World War I Memorial. The World War I Memorial is located adjacent to the Chatham Community Center, to the left as you face the building. click here for Map of Route
HOW IT WILL OCCUR: Ceremony participants will form up at the Veteran's Field Road parking lot beginning at 9:30 AM on Monday the 25th of May.
Shortly before 10:00 AM the ceremony participants, led by the Chatham Veterans of Foreign Wars Color Guard, will proceed out of the parking lot turning left on Main Street and stop in front of the World War I Memorial adjacent to the Chatham Community Center.
The Town of Chatham Memorial Day Ceremony will officially begin at 10:00 AM at the World War I Memorial on Monday, May 25th. After opening remarks and a brief ceremony, the participants will proceed to Oyster Pond via Main Street to Stage Harbor Road and the parking area at Oyster Pond. There we will remember those Lost at Sea by placing a wreath in the water. We will then move to the Korea and Vietnam Memorial located at Oyster Pond.
After, we will then move to the Civil War Memorial located in Sears Park, the triangle of Seaview Street and Main Street. After laying a wreath and a reading of the Gettysburg Address, the participants will proceed back to Veteran's Circle at the rotary. There we will have music by the Chatham High School Band, brief speeches, final remarks, and the ceremony will conclude with the playing of Taps.
In the event of inclement weather, the Ceremony will be held at the Chatham Community Center.

Chatham Lighthouse HDR
Periods of snow and windy. Low 23F. Winds NNW at 25 to 35 mph. Snow accumulating 4 to 6 inches. Winds could occasionally gust over 50 mph.
